The Maker

Lena Corwin once fell in love with a towel by the pool in a Florida retirement home and still fantasizes about it. Combining this love and a specific fondness for jacquard towels, the Peace Cloth Project was born.

In 2014 Lena moved back to her native state of California and was surrounded again by the psychedelic visuals of her childhood home near Haight Street in San Francisco. The peace sign is a favorite icon of Lena's for its simplicity of shape and message.

The Peace Cloth Project regularly donates to the Fellowship of Reconciliation (FOR), a longstanding peace organisation, with every towel sale.
