Owning Our Impact

While there have been leaps and bounds in the production of pool floats and inflatables (all our floats are chemical free), every year, thousands, if not millions of tonnes of PVC and plastic ends up in landfill around the world. This PVC will stay there until the end of time or break down and leech into the surrounding water and ground. Just because you've placed your float in the recycle bin, doesn't mean it gets recycled. Your local recycling centre doesn't have to capability to recycle PVC, which is why they end up in landfill.

We must do our part to minimise waste. Purchasing pool floats that are durable and last well beyond one single-use summer is key. Damaged pool floats can be repaired using the provided puncture kit, or if beyond repair, can be up-cycled into wet bags, library bags and more.

We’ve made recycling your pool floats easy thanks to the team at Ploys Design in Queensland. Ploys Design up-cycle and re-purpose soft PVC material into ecologically sustainable products to be reused again and again. You can check out their website here: ploysdesign.com.au

If you've purchased a pool float from us that is no longer in use, we can help. Simply fill out the form below, ensure the float is completely clean, and we will send you a shipping label so you can post it for free to be recycled. If your pool float has been purchased elsewhere, you can find your closest recycling centre here.

In the interest of circular recycling, make sure to keep an eye on Ploys' website to see how your float is re-used, and support their initiative by making a purchase.

By striving to do better, we can all make an impact.
